Mapale is a tipical Colombian dance that was brought by the Guinean Slaves many years ago, this dance/music y mostly seen in the Atlantic coast. The word/name mapale comes from the word fish. This dance is known for its exotic movements, and jumps the dancers of this type of music used strong and very marked movements and women take men out to dance and make them follow thier moves, its a very flirty dance. Also some people once believed that it was to excorcize evil spirits, also it was believed to anounce love and war, stregth and weakness. This dance is danced to free your self from problems and from bad spirits
