The Bambucos orgin comes all the way back from the
development of the Andean Reagion. As the Andean region began to develop the
migration of Spaniards began increasing which lead to the construction of
farms and the formation of the half-caste people. When the Spaniards arived,
different religious parties were created, the
spaniards started integrating themselves with the indigenous culture. This
mix lead to various rhythm styles, one of them being Bambuco. Many dances
and singings were created which were part of
new musical styles. From these dances and rhythyms Bambuco was born
¨¨Bambuco is without a doubt the maximum expression
of the colimbian music¨
There are various versiones
of Bambuco since its origin is a mix of the Spaniards with the indeginous
culture. Many say that the name ¨bambuco¨came from the word ¨bambuk¨,
which is the name of a river along the west of Africa, where a similiar dance
was performed. but in no way is it comparable to the colombia Bambuco dance
which everyone is familiar with.
It is uncertain whether the bases of Bambuco are
purely Spanish or ¨chibcha¨, but what is for sure is that our song
writers and composers have given el Bambuco an original touch of Colombian
Style making it purely original.

Bambuco has been spread out to Central America and
Mexico due to traveling that Pelon Santamarta performed carring this music
to the countries he would visit.
After a few years he planted el Bambuco in Mexico
creating the Mexican people to grow a special interest for this particular
music, and that is the way that various versions of mexican bambuco originated,
they were created in mexico but they still used our Colombian rhythym.
Bambuco is composed of bandola, tiple, and the guitar.
Its lyrics are usually interpreted by duets which tipically have great quality
voices in which they completly handle the musical instrument, some of these
